紅茶龍是登場於龍洞網站的七歲生日慶會中的龍種。該慶祝活動從2013/5/22日到2013/5/28日，每一天都有新的龍種被發布，紅茶龍是此活動中發布的第三種龍。

牠們與TJ的「Leetles」網站上的「another dragon made by Marrionetta」有關。

龍洞七歲生日慶會中發布的龍依序為：

 成熟的幼龍

And look, it has grown wings that release a faint, spicy scent when it waves them. It must be nearly mature.

阿……這是一隻可愛的龍寶寶。牠喜歡追逐蝴蝶。看，牠長出了翅膀，當拍動雙翼時會散發出淡淡的辛香氣味。牠必定已接近成熟。

  成年龍

Black Tea dragons have small scent glands on the underside of their wing arm that release a pleasant scent. Though many creatures enjoy being in the vicinity of Black Tea dragons, the scent is intended to draw in blocks of butterflies. Though Black Tea dragons are full sized dragons, these insects are the mainstay of their diet.

紅茶龍在牠們翅膀翼臂的下側上有著能散發美妙氣味的細小香腺。儘管有許多生物喜歡聚集在紅茶龍的附近，但那些香氣是為了吸引大批蝴蝶的。雖然紅茶龍的體型有標準龍類的大小，但這些昆蟲才是牠們日常生活的主要食物來源。

They're hide. They have no scales.
They're flightless.
They're strong as all getout and like to grapple.
They're roughly the size of oxen - they're fairly compact.

They mostly think humans are funny fleshy little pink things.
They like to live around human settlements and sometimes willingly pull tillers because they know plants bring in more butterflies.

They really like hanging out with cats.
They really like swimming.
They hop and flutter their wings when excited.
They range in color from dull salmon to light pink, depending on diet.
They're prone to albinism in more closed populations.

牠們喜歡棲息在人類的居住區附近，有時還樂意幫忙推拉耕作機，因為牠們知道植物可以引來更多蝴蝶。
牠們有時也吃蜜蜂，牠們對於蜂毒是有免疫力的。
牠們是溫血的，且當牠們心情愉悅時也能噴火。
牠們超愛跟貓一起溜達。
牠們超愛游泳。
牠們興奮時會蹦跳與拍動翅膀。
牠們的體色從鮭魚紅到淡粉色都有，這取決於飲食。
牠們在越封閉的族群裡也越容易得到白化病。
