巨型雙頭飛龍和雙色龍一起被發布於2013/8/4日的「Two-Headed Madness Release」雙頭龍主題中。牠們是龍洞網站中第一種雙頭的巨型飛龍。

在龍洞軸頁上，若排序方式是按照品種（Breed），則系統會依龍種名稱的開頭字母順序排列。該龍被設定排列名稱為「2 headed lindwurm」是排在「A」順位之前。

當牠們發布時也被宣佈：紫色有時會出現在海岸；綠色也會出現在叢林，但現在似乎已經不需要再那樣安排了。

阿……這是一隻可愛的龍寶寶。牠有兩顆頭，雖然各自有著不同的脾氣，但似乎不介意對方。看！牠長出了翅膀！牠必定已接近成熟。

  成年龍

Two-headed Lindwurms are a strange breed that are usuaully only be seen at night—especially when the moons are full and they feel their vigor is at its best for hunting. The rest of the time, these dragons are well-hidden deep within caves or crypts; they enjoy sitting in dark places. Each of their heads has a different mood and personality than the other, and since they have have different brains, they rarely share the same thoughts—and never the same pain. They are so fully separated, one heads can be asleep while the other is awake.
巨型雙頭飛龍是古怪的品種，通常只能在夜晚——尤其是月光輝灑，牠們覺得自己的氣力是在最佳狩獵狀態時能被發現。在閒暇時刻，這些龍深藏在隱蔽的洞穴或地穴裡；牠們喜歡待在黑漆漆的地方。牠們各自的頭都有著不同的脾氣與個性，也因為有著不同的大腦，牠們鮮少存在有福同享的觀念——也絕不會有難同當。兩顆頭顱是完全獨立的，一顆頭可以處於睡眠狀態而另一顆頭是清醒的。

To everyone: opals are an uncommon breed like the trios, blacks, GW's, etc, so they will be harder to find than say, Greys, Albinos and other uber-commons.

And don't worry. ratios will sort themselves out in time and everyone will have a chance to catch at least one.

Earthgirl stated here that the green color is not an Alt.

Earthgirl revealed in a post that the purple version was her submission for last years Halloween.

Thing is, the purple 2-heads were my Halloween submission for last year. ^^ I made the green 'alt' for myself, but since they weren't used as Halloween dragons, I decided to use them both as color variations, if they will eventually get in-cave.

Since they drop in different places, I could hardly call them alts. They're more like coppers, than ridgewings or dorsals.

But if people want to call them 'alts', I don't mind either way.

Their ratios should be the same.

貌似某人更改了牠們原本的描述，噢，好吧……就這樣了。雖然，我更希望能保留當初所表達的那樣。

Earthgirl在此表示：牠們是少見的品種。

給大家：opals（蛋白石）們是像三元素、黑龍、燦金翼龍等龍那樣少見的，所以牠們會比像灰龍、白化等常見龍更難發現。
但不用擔心，遲早每個人都有機會至少搶到一顆。

Earthgirl在此表示，綠色的並不是Alt。
沒有Alt的巨型雙頭飛龍這種事，牠們只是兩種顏色發放在不同的棲地。

紫色的最先被繪製，然後我重新上色繪製了綠色版的。

Earthgirl曾在帖子中透漏一個訊息：紫色版本是她提交給幾年前的萬聖節的作品。

其實是，紫色的雙頭龍是我去年的萬聖節作品，綠色的是做給自己的「設計師專屬的」版本；但牠們沒有被選擇作為萬聖龍之後，如果牠們會在龍洞網站中發放的話，我就決定這兩個顏色的版本都要使用。

自從牠們被安排在不同的棲地發放，我簡直不能稱牠們為Alts了，牠們更像是銅龍，再來是山脊之翼或背龍那樣；但如果有人想稱牠們為Аlts，我不會介意。

牠們出現的機率該是相同的。
